bury_vicLast month saw Casey hand over an exciting new affordable housing development to St Vincent’s Housing Association.

The 11 new homes on Spring Street, Bury, are now fully completed and the development comprises of 3 bedroomed, six person accommodation. The new homes are built on the redeveloped site of an old Vicarage.

p9080755Work on the second phase of the Poynton Revitalisation Scheme has been given top marks after a recent inspection by the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

Cheshire East Council, along with
P Casey (Land Reclamation) Ltd, achieved a score of 84 per cent for their efforts during the works at Fountain Place.

Every aspect of the scheme was judged, from 'being a good neighbour', to the project's impact on the environment and local community.

picture2We continue to secure building works in the north west of England in our traditional refurbishment sector, cementing our relationships with existing partners and forging relationships with new clients.  We are also moving ahead with our diversification into new market sectors, securing work with Manchester University Hospitals' NHS Trust.

 Works secured include:

Hattersley Estate for Peak Valley Housing Association. This is an environmental improvement scheme which was awarded following a tender competition after our previous £35m Investment Programme completed for Peak Valley Housing earlier this year.

shirehall_green_3Sanctuary Group’s ‘Streetscene’ project has transformed nearly 15 miles of pavements, verges and public open spaces. This £13 million green regeneration project of a 1930s housing estate at Shiregreen in Sheffield, on which Casey was the main contractor, has been shortlisted for a top national award. 

The Sustainable Housing Awards 2011recognise projects and organisations that are at the forefront of promoting sustainability and this project is in the running for the Transformation Award for major improvements to the look, and quality of life, within a social housing development.
