buckley_brook_valleysmallClient: The Greenbank Trust
Project: Buckley Brook Valley

The Project was to provide a new 1km access road to industrial units, a farm and residential properties. Works included deep drainage and infrastructure excavations and construction of two bridges and three culverts followed by construction of a new two lane road and installation of signage, lighting and CCTV. Tarmac road surfacing was to public highway standards.

The construction of the road was cut into a hillside requiring major civil engineering works and diversion of a medium sized water course using precast concrete units to create three culverts .This was followed by bridges to carry the road over the culverts and the un-diverted parts of the water course.

Soft landscaping completed the works around the edges of the newly constructed carriageways comprising trees, plants, shrubs and flowers. Two ornamental lakes were also constructed as part of the soft landscaping works incorporating them into the drainage system which enabled us to create two short waterfalls to act as overspill.

Work was completed in line with the client's requirements for timeliness and the aspiration for the built environment.
